What does Myrtle Essential oil help with?

Green Myrtle ( Myrtus communis ) is a shrubby plant with small, dark green leaves, rich in essential oils. In traditional herbal practice, myrtle is used for its purifying, antiseptic and balancing properties on the skin and scalp.
Green Myrtle Essential oil is extracted by steam distillation of the leaves and twigs of the plant and can be used as a:
- Toner for oily and problematic skin - The oil helps shrink pores, regulate sebum and limit the bacteria that cause acne;
- Additive in a face mask for imperfections - Has a slightly astringent and soothing effect, suitable for redness;
- Scalp lotion against oiliness and dandruff - Regulates sebum, soothes irritated scalp and inhibits the development of fungi;
- Additive to shampoo for hair loss and to strengthen roots - Stimulates microcirculation and refreshes the scalp.
How do i use Myrtle Essential oil?
1. As a toner for oily and problematic skin

- Mix 1 drop of green myrtle oil with 1 tablespoon of hydrosol ( e.g. lavender or witch hazel );
- Mix well;
- Apply to your face with a cotton pad in the morning and evening, avoiding the eye area.
2. As an additive in a face mask for imperfections

- Mix 2 tablespoons of green clay with 1 teaspoon of honey and 2 drops of green myrtle oil;
- Add a little water to get a smooth paste;
- Apply the mask to a cleansed face, leave it on for 10 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water.
3. As a scalp lotion against oiliness and dandruff

- Mix 3 drops of green myrtle oil with 1 tablespoon of base oil ( jojoba, grapeseed, etc.);
- Massage the mixture into your scalp with light circular movements;
- Leave it on for 30 minutes, then wash your hair with shampoo.
4. As an additive to shampoo for hair loss and to strengthen roots

- Add 1 drop of green myrtle essential oil to a single dose of natural shampoo;
- Apply to wet scalp and hair;
- Massage and rinse thoroughly with water.
