What does Helichrysum Essential oil help with?

Helichrysum ( Helichrysum italicum ) is a golden yellow flower that grows on the sunny slopes of the Mediterranean. Its name comes from the flowers' ability to persist for a long time after being picked.

It has been used in folk medicine for centuries for its regenerating, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects.

Helichrysum Essential oil is extracted through steam distillation of the plant's golden flowers and can be used as a:

• Ointment for bruises, contusions and muscle pain - Reduces swelling, relieves pain and speeds up healing;
• Topical remedy for acne and inflammation - The anti-inflammatory action soothes redness and stops the development of bacteria;
• Toner for mature and sensitive skin - Soothes irritations and improves skin tone.

How do i use Helichrysum Essential oil?

1. As an ointment for bruises, contusions and muscle pain

1. Mix 3 drops of helichrysum oil with 1 tsp arnica or coconut oil;
2. Warm the mixture slightly in your hands;
3. Rub into the affected area 2-3 times daily with gentle circular motions.

2. As a topical remedy for acne and inflammation

1. Mix 1 drop of helichrysum oil with 1 tsp aloe vera gel;
2. Dip a cotton swab into the mixture;
3. Apply directly to inflamed areas of your skin 1-2 times daily.

3. As a toner for mature and sensitive skin

1. Add 5 drops of essential oil to 100 ml of floral water ( e.g. chamomile or lavender );
2. Pour the mixture into a spray bottle;
3. Spray directly onto your face or apply with a cotton pad in the morning and evening.

Precautions

1. Use one drop of the essential oil and rub it into the inner part of your forearm;
2. Wait 15 minutes;
3. If redness, skin irritation, or any allergic reaction occurs, discontinue use immediately.
