How it all started

The history of Benepura began in December 2017, when the idea of ​​creating a cosmetic company inspired by the power of Bulgarian herbs and traditions was born.

In early 2018 the company was founded by Milan Nushev, Mitko Marinov and Blagovest Marinov. Initially the company began its operations by selling a foreign cosmetic brand on the Amazon platform, thus gaining experience in online sales.

In September 2018 Benepura officially launched as its own brand dedicated to natural cosmetics. The first products - the Yarrow and Propolis ointments - quickly gained popularity and became some of the most sought-after natural ointments in the UK and Germany.

This success led to the expansion of the brands product range and its entry into new markets. In early 2019 the first company websites were created - Benepura.bg and the international versions Benepura.com/de/co.uk, which would allow customers to order the products directly.

New markets and team growth

In March 2019 BenePura was registered as a brand in the European Union, which provided a basis for even stronger growth. In March 2020 the company refreshed its product visuals to meet the demands of the modern market.

Just a year later, in January 2021, Benepura was also registered in the US, Japan and China, while also launching a store on Amazon US. In March of the same year, all products were certified vegan and vegetarian by The Vegetarian Society - the oldest vegetarian standards organization.

In March 2022 BenePura takes a key step in its development by opening its own production facility in the village of German. All products are produced by hand, in small batches, with the help of a professional herbalist.

Strong interest in the products during this year also led to a significant expansion of the team with the company bringing in new professionals to meet the growing demand.

New visuals and a look to the future

In January 2023 Benepura products switch to aluminum packaging, underscoring the brands commitment to sustainability and ecology.

In February 2023 the brand expanded its presence in Europe by launching its own websites in local languages ​​for over 20 different European countries.

In January 2024 key improvements are introduced to the design and structure of the websites. A blog was added that provides valuable information about herbs, their properties and benefits to educate and inspire customers.

Looking ahead to the future, the goal for 2025 is a strive to strengthen the brands positions on the Bulgarian and European markets, continuing to develop new products with love and respect for nature and its gifts.

The general objective of the procedure is to contribute to accelerating the transition to digitization of the economy by providing grants for the implementation of information and communication technologies and solutions ensuring an increase in the level of digitization of small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

The total value of the project is BGN 20,000, of which BGN 20,000 BFP.
