What does Palmarosa Essential oil help with?

Palmarosa ( Cymbopogon martinii ) is an aromatic herb with thin, long leaves that resemble lemongrass. Naturally rich in geraniol, a compound with antimicrobial and moisturizing properties, Palmarosa has been used for centuries in skin care.

Palmarosa Essential oil is extracted by steam distillation of the leaves and can be used as a:

• Serum for oily or acne-prone skin - Regulates sebum production and has an antiseptic effect that reduces inflammation;
• Additive to creams or masks for dry and mature skin - Helps retain moisture and improves skin elasticity;
• Tonic for irritated or reddened skin - Soothes, has anti-inflammatory effects and protects against infections.

How do i use Palmarosa Essential oil?

1. As a serum for oily or acne-prone skin

1. Mix 2 drops of palmarosa essential oil with 1 teaspoon of a carrier oil ( such as jojoba or grapeseed );
2. Mix well in a small glass container;
3. In the evening, after cleansing your face, apply a thin layer of the mixture to your skin.

2. As an additive to creams or masks for dry and mature skin

1. Take the required amount of your day or night cream on the palm of your hand;
2. Add 1-2 drops of palmarosa oil and mix gently with your finger;
3. Apply as usual to your face and neck.

3. As a tonic for irritated or reddened skin 

1. Pour 100 ml of floral water ( e.g. lavender ) into a clean spray bottle;
2. Add 5 drops of palmarosa essential oil and shake well;
3. Use in the morning and evening as a toner - spray directly or apply with a cotton pad.
