this does not provide relief from muscle pain

this product is marketed as providing relief from muscle pain , strains , it DOES NOT , i have used this on a shoulder injury and there was no relief for the swelling , strain and pain associated , the mix contains insufficient arnica oil , i do not recommend this product for aches , sprains , strains or swelling

Joints

I use this for swelling on joints (sle). I’m finding that I have a little less pain… whether it’s the actual product or the massaging motion when rubbing it in, I don’t know. But overall, I think it’s worth using.

Gentle pain relief ointment...

This is a dinky little pot and a lot smaller than I was expecting (but exactly as described); I think I was expecting it to be more like the big bottles and tubs of arnica gel that I’ve used in the past. The formulation here is more concentrated though and there are other active ingredients; plus it’s a thicker ointment texture, so you can use a lot less than watery gel type products.I think the ointment has a soothing effect and does help to provide some relief for muscle and joint pain, especially on smaller areas like the jaw, thumbs, knuckles, wrists, ankles etc. It’s not as effective as a strong topical medicinal gel (like voltarol or ibuprofen gel) but I do think it’s a very useful product for light pain relief, particularly if you don’t want to be constantly using medicinal products and want something natural.

Seems to do the trick for my arthritic fingers.

Yes, it appears to help with pain and swelling for arthritic fingers.

I've used arnica tablets in the past and I know they help with bruising and inflammation. This balm is really nice and rubs in easily. I think it definitely makes a difference in terms of easing off some of the pain.
